A seminar examining intellectual property rights was held on Saturday, organized by the Industry and Trade Office in Hadramout province, in cooperation with the private sector development project (GTZ).
A number of trade, industrial and production institutions participated in the seminar, in which they discussed a number of papers predicated upon concepts of intellectual property rights, and the importance of such rights in order to maintain a strong industrial product.The papers also discussed the role of the industry office in the supervision of licensing the registration, as well as the importance of involving the private sector in the intellectual property rights protection.In the seminar, the Under Secretary of Hadramout province, Awadh Hatim, affirmed the significance of spreading awareness on the intellectual property rights, particularly in trade and industrial areas.Courses and seminars of this nature contribute to the protection of intellectual property rights, Hatim emphasized, the development of harmonic relations among responsible authorities.
