Yemen and Indonesia discussed on Monday preparations for holding the Indonesian cultural week organized by the Indonesian embassy in Sana'a and Aden during the coming week.
The cultural week would include fashion shows, workshop and Indonesian handicrafts.
Minister of Culture Mohammad al-Maflahi and the Indonesian ambassador Nour Alawlaia'a talked about cultural cooperation relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them.
Al-Maflahi praised the historical relations that tie the two countries, affirming Yemen's keenness on developing cultural cooperation with Indonesia.He also invited Indonesia to take part in the activities and celebration of Tareem the capital of Islamic culture for 2010.In return, the Indonesian diplomat hailed the Yemeni-Indonesian historical relations.From another hand, al-Maflahi held talks with the Italian ambassador Mario Bofo on the completion of the cultural programs and projects existing in the two countries in fields of antiquities and manuscripts.Bofo affirmed his countries keenness on promoting the cultural cooperation relations between the two countries, affirming the cultural cooperation areas are to be enhanced by the new ambassador expected to begin his mission next February.
