Reconstructing fund contribution to rebuild Tarim city discussed

Undersecretary of Hadramout province for Valley and Desert Affairs Omair Mubarak discussed procedures to start executing the cabinet's decisions on the Reconstructing fund's contribution to rebuilding the most important infrastructure in the historical city of Tarim affected by heavy rains and floods in October 2008.
Mubarak urged the fund's executive administration in Sayoun to speed preparing the preconceptions of the most important works to be initiated quickly especially refining the floodplains surrounding the city, which was named the capital of Islamic culture for 2010, and rehabilitating the historic forts and castles as well as the ancient palaces restoration. Those preconceptions should also include making, decorating and lightening some models in some major tours to show Tarim city entrances beautifully. The meeting affirmed the need to avail from all creative thoughts of the specialists and those who work in the architecture field to give the city its right as a cultural city, indicating that those works performed in the city are not only for this occasion ,but they are to remain on for many years. In last October, the board of Fund for Reconstructing Hadramout and Mahrah provinces allocated YR 1 billion for rebuilding the flood-affected Infrastructure in City of Tarim.
