Army foils Houthi attack on al-Jara'eb region

An official military source confirmed on Sunday that some units of the army foiled an attack by al-Houthi saboteur elements on a site in al-Jara'eb region.The source told Saba that the armed and security forces stationed in the region defied the rebellion elements and caused them significant losses reflecting in a big number of al-Houthi rebels'wounded and dead people.
The source added the preliminary information indicated that four leaders from al-Houthi elements have been killed during the battle which lasted for more that nine hours. The rest of the rebels ran away leaving some of its dead members, according to the source. The source also pointed out the army units destroyed a car belonging to the rebels laying in al-Sharag valley way as well as succeeded in implementing an operation to destroy a number of the saboteurs' hideouts in al-Thaba area. In this regard, an official source in Saada Local Council said the rebellion elements had killed 6 women and 10 children in Thwaib village in Haidan district of Saada government.The victims were killed by shooting them in heads and necks for their cooperation with the government.The rebellion elements took all the citizens belongings in the village and also forced children of the village to involve and support the rebels in their fighting against the government otherwise they and their families will be killed.
