In Mukalla today, Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, a member of the Hadramawt Control Council, selected Mr. Ahmed Hassan Al-Mahdhar and Mr. Mohammed bin Salem Al-Jilani as members of the Reconciliation Committee in Hadhramaut Governorate.
This selection reflects the local authority's commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at fostering dialogue and understanding within the community.
During the meeting, several matters of public interest were reviewed, including the progress made in the current situation in the districts of Doan and Al-Dhalia. Discussions also focused on community engagement in addressing certain issues, fostering a spirit of brotherhood and cooperation among the residents of the two districts.
The selection of a council member specializing in oversight and monitoring was also highlighted, reflecting the local authority's commitment to reconciliation efforts and the consolidation of values such as tolerance and social cohesion. The council commended the national and well-known approach adopted by prominent social figures and authorities in containing disputes and promoting a balanced perspective, thereby contributing to security and preventing the abuse of power. For their part, Ahmed Hassan Al-Mahdhar and Mansab Muhammad bin Salem Al-Jilani expressed their appreciation for the local leadership’s interest in the governorate and its follow-up on matters of faith, stressing the continuation of efforts to serve the community and the spirit of harmony and cooperation among the people of Hadhramaut.
