Mr. Salem Al-Khanbashi, member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramaut, met today in Riyadh with the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense, led by Lieutenant General Aziz Saghir, and in the presence of a number of commanders of military regions, brigades, and axes in the liberated governorates.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Khanbashi praised the national role played by the armed forces of the Ministry of Defense and their efforts to unify military operations to complete the liberation of the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, from the grip of the Houthi terrorist militias. He stressed the importance of continuing efforts to rebuild the armed forces on national and professional foundations.
The Presidential Leadership Council member emphasized the need to exert further efforts to reintegrate and redeploy the armed forces in accordance with state directives and under a unified military umbrella. This will contribute to confronting various security and military challenges and securing all sites and facilities in the liberated governorates. For his part, Lieutenant General Aziz Saghir provided a comprehensive briefing on the latest military developments in the various axes and units of the Ministry of Defense. The meeting reviewed plans for the redeployment of military forces and the reorganization of the First and Second Military Regions in Hadramawt Governorate, with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of military and security operations.
Attendees included Mr. Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, Director of the Office of the Presidential Leadership Council Member; Major General Hadi Al-Awlaqi, Commander of the Eighth Military Region – Al-Dhali’ Axis; Major General Salem Qaddah, Commander of the Al-Ghaydah Axis; Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Farji, Commander of the 19th Brigade in Bayhan; Colonel Hassan Abu Salem, Secretary to the Chief of Staff; and Colonel Ahmed Al-Ubaidi from the Command and Control Center at the General Staff Headquarters.
