Governor of Hadramawt, Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, inaugurated the headquarters of the Hadramawt National Council in Seiyun today, in the presence of the Deputy Governor of Hadramawt for the Valley and Desert Districts, Mr. Amer Saeed Al-Amri, a number of deputy governors and council leaders, as well as social figures.
In his speech during the inauguration ceremony, the Governor of Hadramawt emphasized that the opening of the headquarters coincides with the 3rd of January, the anniversary of the Hadramawt Victory Day, following the liberation of the valley. He noted that this day will be recognized as an annual national occasion embodying the sacrifices made by the people of Hadramawt, expressing his optimism for the beginning of a new era characterized by tolerance, coexistence, and the strengthening of national partnership.
The Governor explained that the opening of the council headquarters in Seiyun signals the commencement of its operations, to be followed by the opening of another headquarters in Mukalla. This will enable the council to launch its activities in various local and regional arenas and forums, serving as a catalyst for national and developmental work. He commended the efforts of the political leadership and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their support of Hadramawt. For his part, the Secretary-General of the Hadhramaut National Council, Issam Habrish Al-Kathiri, expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Hadhramaut for inaugurating the headquarters, considering this step to coincide with one of the immortal national days in the history of Hadhramaut. He noted that this day marks a pivotal moment in light of the difficult period the governorate is going through, announcing the launch of the Hadhramaut National Council's work to support the local authority and the rights of the people of Hadhramaut.
Al-Kathiri also extended his thanks to the leadership of the local authority and to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their supportive stances, affirming that Hadhramaut is breathing new hope today after difficult times, and that the coming days will witness the opening of the council's office in the city of Mukalla and the full commencement of its work.
