Al-Wadeah Land Port has continued its extensive preparations to receive and facilitate the arrival of pilgrims this year. This is part of a comprehensive plan aimed at facilitating the passage of Yemeni pilgrims through the port and providing all the necessary basic and logistical services to ensure a safe and orderly journey to the Holy Land.
Field sources reported that the port will receive more than 15,000 pilgrims this year from various governorates of the Republic. Early coordination has taken place between the relevant authorities to arrange the security, health, and administrative aspects related to the pilgrims' passage, ensuring smooth procedures and rapid transit.
Arrangements include preparing designated sites to receive pilgrims, providing waiting rooms equipped with basic services, such as water and sanitation services, 24-hour emergency medical centers, and ambulance units to deal with any health emergencies, in cooperation with health personnel and relevant authorities.
On the security front, security presence has been reinforced around the port, and organizational and advisory efforts have been intensified to ensure smooth traffic flow and control crowds commensurate with the expected large numbers. The competent authorities have also provided guidance teams to guide pilgrims and facilitate their procedures from entry to departure.
Port officials confirmed the readiness of all service, security, and medical agencies, and the activation of joint operations rooms operating around the clock to monitor Hajj procedures and address any emergencies. They indicated that these preparations are part of the joint efforts to serve the Guests of God and facilitate their religious journey.
The Al-Wadiah Land Port is the only land port through which Yemeni pilgrims enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, making it the focus of intense attention and preparations annually during the Hajj season.
