The Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights and UN Office in Yemen
launched Wednesday the International Anti-Recruiting Children Campaign
here.
The release issued by the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights called the international organizations to denounce and stop Houthi militia's violations against children in Yemen, closing all centers of sectarian mobilization, which brainwash children with hatred and violence.
" We confirm our full commitment to the Yemeni constitution and law and international accords we signed them to end the phenomenon of recruiting children in keenness of future of our children and protecting them against armed conflict as strategic and high objective," said the release.
The release called upon all military, social, political and media activities in the republic of Yemen for active participation to highlight this phenomenon and its dangers on our children and to show government's accomplishments for ending recruiting children.
The release pointed out that launching the campaign comes in response to the call made by the International Campaign launched by the Office of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Armed Conflicts and Children to all countries under the motto of " Moving for Protecting Children."
