Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Shadadi,
participated in the China-Arab Forum for Young Politicians, which was
held via video conference in Beijing, from May 24-26, under the auspices
of the Foreign Relations Department of the Central Committee of the
Communist Party of China, in the framework of preparations for a
Sino-Arab summit.
The opening session of the forum discussed the developments in Chinese-Arab relations and the importance of the active role of youth, which represents the future and hope for the country and the nation, and is considered an heir and a driving force for the long-term friendship between China and the Arab countries.
The forum dealt with further deepening exchanges between young politicians in China and Arab countries, enhancing exchange of ideas and political mutual trust between the two sides, and constantly pushing forward the development of Sino-Arab strategic partnership relations. Al-Shadadi stressed that this conference is being held at a very important time that requires concerted diplomatic and economic efforts to ease the current crisis on our peoples and countries... praising the Chinese government and people's handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, which put people and their safety first, and set an example in dealing with crises.
