Under-Secretary of Ministry of Public Health and Population Dr. Ali
al-Waleedi said" Coronavirus vaccines would be distributed to the
governorates when necessary arrangements accomplished with international
partners the WHO and UNICEF and following training plan for the engaged
cadres ended".
Speaking at press conference held today in the temporary capital Aden he stated that Yemen received 360 thousand doses as first batch, will be followed by another one in May included one million and 600 thousand doses, it is planned to receive up to 12 million doses by the end of the year.
Al-Waleed added that the vaccination campaign is set to be carried out throughout 133 districts of 13 governorates and health facilities in Houthi militia-controlled regions will be provided with 10 thousands doses through the WHO which will oversee the campaign over there.
