Yemen LNG Company Launched on Sunday the scholarship programme for the Yemeni students in the diploma, Bachelor degree, Master degree and specialized academic programs.
The programme includes 10 scholarships yearly beginning with 2009 – 2010 in different international universities in the United Kingdom, Malaysia and Sana'a University. The programme includes four scholarships for bachelor degrees, two for master degrees, two for diploma degree and two scholarships in the academic program training. The company briefed that the 18 – 21 age students would be chosen for the bachelor degree according to their scientific skills, adding that in case their English skills are weak, the company will qualify them in this regard. In a press conference the company held on Sunday, the General Manager of Public Relations Essam al-Ghurbani said that the registration on the programme would be via the company's website www.yemenlng.com and it would last for July 15. He said that the company allocated US $ 26 million to implement social development projects in the villages the LNG project passes through from Marib to Belhaf and in the adjacent villages to the project in Belhaf for five years.
