The speaker of the Arab Parliament Mishaal al-Salmi said the donors’
conference called for by Saudi Arabia is part of Saudi Arabia's
humanitarian and developmental contributions meant to lift humanitarian
suffering in Yemen.
In a press statement, he said the call for the conference reflects the Kingdom’s pioneering role as the first supporter of Yemen and the largest financier of the humanitarian response plans of the United Nations.
"The conference, which Saudi Arabia in partnership with the United Nations will organize tomorrow, Tuesday, will contribute greatly to mobilizing the necessary fundings to support relief, humanitarian and development programs to help the Yemeni people improve their living conditions," he said.
