The Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Abu ElGheit said the
Iranian interferences prolonged the conflict in Yemen and turned it more
insoluble.
In a meeting he held with the UN Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths here today, Abu ElGheit affirmed the League's support to the territorial integrity of Yemen and the imperative of restoring the legitimate state institutions and preventing the transformation of Yemen from into a launch pad for threats targeting its neighbors.
He highlighted the danger of Iran's use of Yemen's Houthis as a card in its conflict with the US. He said it is necessary to test all opportunities of peace "and what matters in this regard are the works not the words of Houthis."
