Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Mohammad
al-Sa'adi discussed on Tuesday with the General Director of Kuwaiti Fund
for Arab Economic DevelopmentAbdulwahab al-Badr resumption of the
fund's development projects in Yemen.
Minister al-Sa'adi reviewed latest developments in Yemen and efforts of the government of preparations for reconstruction process, in addition to exerted efforts for tackling economic conditions and dealing with effects of limited resources.
He pointed to efforts for resuming implementation of development projects financed by donor institutions including Kuwaiti Fund, confirming significance of carrying out those projects for their importance of providing basic services and work opportunities.
Al-Sa'adi praised the role of the State of Kuwait and its contribution of supporting Yemen, noting to resumption of the projects financed by the fund within their schedules.
The projects the fund implements in Yemen cover transport network in Aden City- the first and second phases cost USD 55 million, maintenance of Mareb Gas Power Plant 1, transport road 400 KM with the cost of USD 36 million, rural roads projects, public work project and rural development project.
For his part, al-Badr confirmed continuation of the fund's support to development process in Yemen through resuming its projects.
