The Director of Humanitarian Operations of the UAE in Yemen, Saeed Al-Kaabi, the General Secretariat of the University of Aden, was received by Dr. Mohammed Aqeel Al-Attas, Vice President for Student Affairs and a number of the university leadership.
The meeting discussed a number of topics related to supporting the activities and events held by the university as well as honoring the early and encouraging them to continue education.
At the beginning of the meeting, the leadership of Aden University welcomed the visit made by Yemen’s Director of Humanitarian Operations, Saeed Al Kaabi, and with him the Deputy Head of the UAE Red Crescent Mission in Aden Taib al-Shamsi.
“The University is slowly recovering and is trying to overcome all the difficulties facing the country as a whole and the university as an educational institution in particular,” said Dr. Mohammed Al-Attas, vice-president of the university, in a brief overview of the state of Aden and its destruction after the war.
For his part, Al-Kaabi explained that they as a humanitarian team of the UAE are doing all they can to serve the Yemeni people in various fields with a greater focus on supporting education to raise a generation armed with science capable of building the country and renouncing violence and extremism.
He said that their first task is to build the human being and help him to build his future, which aspires to him and the university is the fertile environment to guide young people to benefit them in the homeland.
He then visited the Faculty of Engineering in Al-Shaab City to see the status of the college and what it needs in the field of application to support the academic staff.
