President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has briefed members of Group of Eminent
Experts on Yemen established by the Human Rights Council on the
Houthis' atrocities and the devastating impact of their abandoning of the
national dialogue, coup d'état and plunging of the country into
violence.
The experts are namely Kamel Jendoubi, Charles Garraway (United Kingdom) Melissa Parke, (Australia), and the representative of the OHCHR in Riyadh FaridHamdan.
Hadi said that the Iran-backed rebels have committed serious violations against the unarmed civilians. Hadi ordered the government to facilitate the experts' mission for the sake of achieving accountability.
Hadi recalled Yemen's national dialogue in 2013-2014 as emblematic of Yemeni people's proud march toward a modern stable federal state built on equality, justice and good governance.
The Experts said they keep a good level of cooperation with Yemen's National Commission to Investigate into Alleged Human Rights Violations. The experts said they look forward to visit the war-torn province of Taiz next month to have a close look at the facts on the ground including the humanitarian suffering.
