Kuwait rejects attacking Yemen's institutions; says al-Jarallah

Kuwaiti Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Jarallah has
confirmed that the State of Kuwait rejects attacking constitutional
institutions in Yemen by outlaw forces.
"The bloody conflict in Yemen and resulted killing and displacing and deteriorating humanitarian situations suffered by the Yemeni people over the past years obliged the State of Kuwait to intervene for exerting political efforts led to hosting Yemeni warring parties in political talks lasted for three months for reaching a political solutions in accordance to the GCC Initiative and UN Resolution 2216," said al-Jarallah in a statement published by Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA).
He added that the State of Kuwait has not neglected the humanitarian situation in Yemen as it pledged of providing relief and humanitarian assistances estimated at USD 100 million via the UN Organizations and Kuwaiti charitable societies.
He pointed out that Kuwait initiated development projects via Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development worth USD 400 million for financing development projects in Yemen, noting that the eruption of clashes and deteriorating situations led to halting those programs.
He confirmed that the programs will be activated when orders are normalized in Yemen to be resumed in the framework of expected reconstruction within international community efforts for reconstruction in Yemen.
