Minister of Health and Population Dr. NaserBaoom said that
1890 cholera-related deaths were recorded from 27 April to the end of July
across Yemen.
In a statement to Saba, he said that most of the death cases
were focused in Hajjah, Sana'a, Hodeidah, Amran and Ibb.
The rate of fatalities from the epidemic has, however, seen
a decline since the end of July, the minister notes.
"With continued medical support from the GCC states
through King Salman Relief Center and the Emirati Red Crescent, we have managed
to limit this epidemic." The minister praised the health workers
"quietly doing their job of combating the epidemic in all provinces in
spite of the war circumstances."
