The Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir said
that the legitimacy in Yemen doesn't have any problem in distributing the
humanitarian aid, but Houthis are the ones who confiscate and sell this aid and
do not allow it to reach its needy.
Al-Jubeir said during a press conference held between the Saudi
and US foreign ministers in Riyadh that Yemenis are suffering from hunger and
famine because of the actions of the Houthis and not because of the Saudi raids
or the Arab coalition. Therefore, they distributed aid in the places they were
able to reach, and the hospitals which were built by Saudi Arabia 30 years ago
and still working even during the time of fighting.
The Saudi foreign minister stressed that they will not allow
Iran to continue its support of the militias through the Houthis and Hezbollah because
of the disturbances it has done in the region, adding that he appreciated the
position of the Trump administration on the level of support for efforts in
Yemen, logistic and diplomatic.
