President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi discussed Tuesday with US Ambassador
to Yemen Mathew Toller and Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern
Affairs Timothy Linder King cooperation and coordination between the
two countries on fighting terrorism and deterring Iran's interventions
through Houthi-Saleh's militias.
President Hadi highlighted US efforts for supporting Yemen and its legal authority and for former support to the political transfer (after uprising against Saleh's regime in 2011) and the National Dialogue Conference.
"Yemeni people have made sacrifices with support from Arab Coalition for the sake of real and sustainable peace … in accordance with ruling foundations; the GCC Initiative, outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN resolutions, specifically Resolution 2216," said President.
For their part, the US diplomats expressed happiness for meeting with the president within efforts of continuing cooperation and coordination in common with the interests of the two countries.
" First of all, we convey to you appreciations of US Administration for Yemen's {recent} release supporting efforts of US President and his moves on Syria after aggression on Syrian people by chemical weapons," said US diplomats.
They confirmed keenness of US Administration on realizing peace and stability in the region and deterring threats especially that come from Iranian unjustified interferences.
While they praised efforts of President's Hadi in fighting terrorism, they renewed US attention of Yemen and working with the president to put an end to threats harming Yemen and its stability, led by terrorism and Iran's interventions.
