Prime Minister Ahmed Obaid Bin Daghar on
Monday met here with the US Ambassador to Yemen Mathew Tuller, discussing
relations between Yemen and the United States, and how to enhance them.
Prime Minister welcomed the ambassador, praising roles
played by the United States and its assistances provided to Yemenis at all
fields.
Bin Daghar emphasized the Yemeni government is keen to reach
a permanent and fair solution which the Yemeni people eagerly look forward to,
indicating that the coup caused more sufferings for Yemenis.
He further said that the outcomes of the National Dialogue
Conference are the solution for Yemen's crisis, emphasizing that the outcomes
along with the GCC-brokered Initiative and the UN Resolution 2216 will end war
in Yemen if they are implemented.
"The international community must compel the
Houthi-Saleh militias to accept the terms of reference and implement them to
put an end to suffering of Yemenis which were caused by the coup and war the
Houthi-Saleh militias carried out them against the Yemeni people" he went
on.
He further noted that the Yemeni government made reforms in
providing essential services, ensure security and stability and fight the
terrorist organizations of al-Qaeda and ISIS.
He further said that security situation in Aden and other
governorates has improved when comparing that with the past months, praising
gains scored by the National Army backed by the Arab Coalition.
For his part, the US Ambassador renewed the US support to
the legitimate government led by President Abdo Rabu Mansour Hadi and peace
based on essential terms of reference.
He also stressed the importance of cooperation and
coordination with the Yemeni government to fight al-Qaeda and ISIS, eliminate
them and pursue their elements, exalting efforts exerted by the Yemeni.
