PM honors creative athletes in different sport games

Prime Minister Ali Mujawar honored in the Youth Palace of Sana'a on
Monday the Yemeni athletes of sport attainments for 2008 during their
participation in severa l sport games held abroad. The honors
included the Yemeni Olympiad champions obtaining the World Cup of
Hockey held in American State of Idaho, and the champions of
Equestrian, Chess, Judo, Taekwondo, and Wrestling games as well as
women sport games, who obtained advanced positions at the Arab and
Asian level. In the honor festival, Mujawar delivered a speech,
in which he affirmed the significance of such honoring for the
ingenious athletes to continue their success. He praised the golden
achievements by the creative athletes during their participations in
Arab, Asian and international championships. He added that these
honorable achievements indicate that Yemen has distinguished talents
from creative youth, assuring the government's keenness on qualifying
creative youth and developing their abilities for strengthening their
roles in building the country. The premier called on the private
sector for contributing to supporting athletes, developing the
different sport games, and honoring the creative youth. For his
part, Minister of Youth and Sports Hamoud Ubad praised the successes
and the medals obtained by the Yemeni athletes in the different sports
in the Arab, Asian and international events, assuring that honoring the
creative athletes is honoring for all those who represent Yemen well.
