UNESCO affirms supporting Yemen in preserve traditional crafts, combat relics trafficking

The Regional Director of UNESCO, Awad Mohamed al-Hassan confirmed the willingness of the organization to support Yemen in many aspects of culture and continue supporting the existing projects, particularly in the field of crafts and traditional income-producing as well as to prepare a study of hand-crafted industry capable for developing. The Regional Director of UNESCO asserted the readiness to cooperate in the issue of an illicit trafficking in Yemen relics and called for observers from Sudan and Egypt to take advantage of their expertise in this field, especially by manuscripts.During his meeting today with Dr. Muhammad AbuBakr al-Muflhi, Culture Minister, who reviewed the projects implemented by UNESCO in Yemen and they briefed up on a report from experts on the UNESCO project to preserve the Sana\'ani singing.
