President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi received on Wednesday the British ambassador to Yemen, Jane Marriott. During the meeting, they reviewed the mutual relations between the two friendly countries. President Hadi highly valued the role of the British government led by PM David Cameron toward the events in Yemen since the eruption of 2011 crisis.
Hadi said that the political process in Yemen is going toward achieving its goals completely, especially after finishing the initial draft of the new constitution, which would represent a major step on the new system of federal Yemen based on the GCC-brokered deal and UNSC resolutions in this regard.
He added that new constitution would be subjected to discussion and approval and then a referendum will be held on it in a step aiming to ease the way to hold local, parliamentary and presidential elections.
The President pointed out that there is a media campaign against Yemen after the terrorist attack in Paris, which relied on false information.
He added that Yemen has suffered a lot due to terrorist attack, which effected economy and investment badly.
Moreover, Hadi said that Yemen is in its way to complete the political change system based on good governance, justice, freedom and equality, calling on the international community to support Yemen to complete the national tasks due to the weakness of the economy in the country.
President Hadi handed over a letter to the ambassador to be conveyed to the British PM on the current situation in the country.
