PM receives letter from Russian counterpart

Prime Minister Khaled Bahah received on Monday a letter from his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on bilateral relations and efforts to develop mechanisms of cooperation between the two countries. Bahah discussed with the Russian ambassador to Yemen Vladimir Dedushkin, who handed him the letter, the bilateral cooperation relations between Yemen and Russia and the possibility of boosting them, especially in the economic and investment fields.
The meeting touched on the situations at the Yemeni arena and the endeavors exerted to establish the security and stability, overcome the complexities of the current period, proceed to move the wheel of development and economy, and complete the rest of the transition.
The premier affirmed that his government welcomes the Russian investments in the different fields, including the electricity and energy sector.
Bahah hailed the Russia's positions towards Yemen and its support for all efforts aiming to overcome the current challenges faced by the Yemeni people.
For his part, the Russian ambassador confirmed his country's support for the efforts aiming to eject Yemen from the current situation.
Dedushkin pointed that the Russian companies are interested in investing in the promising sectors in Yemen, including the contribution to tackling the energy problem through rehabilitating the existing thermal stations and implementing new projects in Aden and Tihama.
