Yemen and South Korea on Thursday reviewed the challenges facing the project of the Yemeni-Korean higher Institute and find appropriate solutions to resume its work and benefit from Korean expertise in technical and vocational fields. During his meeting with South Korean ambassador to Yemen Lee Young-ho, Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training AbdulRazzaq al-Ashwal said that his ministry is waiting for a memo from the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission (SNACC) to continue to implement the project with a Korean a loan worth $ 15 million and support the technical education system urgently in 2015.
Young-ho affirmed the importance of finding urgent solutions for the institute's project and resume work as soon as possible to ensure the benefit of the Korean loan, stressing his country's keenness to develop bilateral cooperation relations with Yemen at various fields, including technical and vocational education.
He confirmed his country's support for the political and economic stability to Yemen as Korea a part of Friends of Yemen Group which seeks to achieve security and stability and support the implementation of the outcomes of the national dialogue, expressing that Yemen is a trading and economic partner while the trade exchange reached between the two countries nearly $ 3 billion last year.
