Donors support for implementing NDC outcomes discussed

Prime Minister Khaled Bahah met here on Thursday with the joint mission of donors led by the Country Director of the World Bank in Yemen Wael Zakout. At the meeting, the two sides discussed preparing a joint framework to support the implementation of the national dialogue conference (NDC) outcomes.
The meeting touched on the fast procedures to implement the priorities of the NDC's outcomes within three main themes represented in the state-building, establishing security, stability and the rule of law and the economic development theme.
The prime minister highly valued the World Bank's role in supporting the government efforts in the developmental and economic areas, pointing to the reliable role of Yemen development partners in supporting the NDC outcomes implementation.
Bahah affirmed his government's determination to implement its general program, stressing that that would only be achieved in strong and effective partnership with all the political forces, popular components and the donor community.
For his part, the World Bank Country Director confirmed that the Bank will work side by side with the government to ensure the success of its tasks and to help the Yemeni people to get out of the current situation.
Zakout reviewed the expected positive effects of joint framework on the various aspects relating the government's priorities that are consistent with the NDC's outcomes and priorities.
