Yemen and Kuwait sign 10 cooperation deals

At the first session of the first meeting of the joint ministerial
committee, Yemen and Kuwait have signed 10 contracts on cooperation in
the security, cultural, tourist, and economic areas besides agreements
for technical cooperation. The two countries also signed an
agreement for the setting up of a joint ministerial committee and a
deal for cooperation in the field of Islamic affairs. Moreover, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry struck a deal. The
cultural agreement calls for cooperation in documentation and training
and the exchange of publications and information as well as experts. Opening
the first session, Minister of Foreign Abu Bakr al-Qirbi hailed the
Yemeni-Kuwaiti developed relations, saying the meeting of the joint
committee comes to demonstrate the interest of the two countries in
pushing forward the bilateral relationship. Preparatory meetings for the joint ministerial committee were held last month in Aden. Last year, the two countries agreed on the establishment of a joint committee on the path to promote mutual cooperation.
