President Hadi receives UN envoy to Yemen

President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi received on Sunday the Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Yemen, Jamal Benomar.
Hadi reviewed the latest developments and steps which have been taken to implement the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) on the ground and efforts to combat terrorism.
They also reviewed ongoing arrangements to hold Friends of Yemen’s Conference by the end of August.
The president praised the UN support to Yemen to make the political process a success based on the GCC-brokered deal, pointing out that Yemen had made a progress in the path of implementing the NDC’s outcomes on the ground.
Benomar said that his current visit to Yemen is to follow up the latest developments in Yemen. He said that he will brief the UNSC members on the situation of Yemen on August 25, reaffirming the support of the UN to Yemen during the current stage.
