The government and donors are to convene next Monday in Sana'a to assess the implementation of duties set in the Mutual Accountability Framework (MAF).
The meeting is one of regular meetings agreed to be held by the government and donors in order to evaluate the progress of the allocation of the funds donors were pledged to Yemen in the Riyadh conference and the Group of Friends of Yemen 4th meeting in New York, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammad al-Sa'adi stated to Saba.
Organized by the Executive Bureau to accelerate absorption of donors' pledges, the meeting will focus on what has been achieved in the MAF by the government and donors.
Al-Sa'adi affirmed that the government has fulfilled many of its obligations, urging donors, who have not completed the allocation of their funds, to deliver on their pledges to Yemen and accelerate procedures to help Yemen to achieve development and address the current challenges.
Praising the existing partnership between Yemen and donors, the Minister stressed the need to be further strengthened through providing more support to Yemen to tackle the future economic and development challenges.
