Mukalla ,Tadhamin,Shaab teams canceled participation in the upcoming Basketball Championship to kick off on February 5th.
The cancellation was due to the adoption of the organizing body for the system of (All against All) Back and forth in the game.
This came in a joint letter signed by the three clubs and sent to the chairman of the Interim Committee of the basketball Union after they (the afore-mentioned clubs) received the tournament periodic which includes articles that ,as they say,do not promote the interests of the game and the system which is contrary to the strategic level of the game and doesn't help to develop the game.
They suggested that a club should play two matches in one journey Instead of one game, as does the Volleyball Federation in order to save
money .
They further added that the distribution of the clubs are not fair for the three clubs are in one group and in contravention of this regulation.
The message confirmed in this regard that the reduction of the number of clubs reduce chances of friction and playing for the player throughout the season and if there was a financial crisis then there are alternatives other than reducing the league clubs.
Finally the letter indicated that there is apparent contradiction between the list of season 2008 / 2009 and the Regulations of the men's all-league 2008/2009 which is applicable to the youth league .
