UNDP allocates 28 million for wet preservations

ADEN, Oct 24 (Saba) - The General Director of Aden Environment Protection Office Abdul Hakim Rajeh said that the United Nations Development Program(UNDP) has allocated YR 28 million for developing the bird watching towers in the wet preservations in Aden governorate. Rajeh said that the sum would be used to build bird watching towers in each of al-Hiswah preservation, al-Baja'a Lake(Pelican Lake) in Khour Makser, Khour Be'er Ahmad, al-Bouraiqa and Al-Mimaleh. He said that these towers will supply with modern equipments to watch migrant birds, identify the migration period. He pointed out that the bird watching equipments are preparing currently and would be completed next year in addition to conduct a study on thethose birds, their kinds, determine the distances and the areas where they come from.
