Yemen, UNDP discuss agricultural cooperation

Yemen and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) discussed here on Tuesday the possibility of creating mutual cooperation to support the agriculture sector to achieve the food security in the country.
During their meeting, Agriculture and Irrigation Minster Fared Mujawar and Deputy Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States Murad Wehbe reviewed agriculture sector activities and needs to support of the Ministry's efforts to improve living conditions of rural areas families through carrying some agricultural projects and support rural women activities.
Mujawar hailed the UN's efforts to support development paths in Yemen, looking forward to further support to implement agriculture activities.
For his part, Wehbe affirmed the UNDP's readiness to cooperate with Yemen, particularly in the agricultural sector and to expand future cooperation to enhance the development in Yemen.
