US official praises successes achieved in Yemen

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Barbara Leaf has praised steps taken by Yemen in executing the GCC-mediated initiative and its implementation mechanism. During a meeting with Yemen’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Ahmed bin Daghr on Tuesday in Washington, Leaf commended efforts exerted by President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi in stabilizing Yemen.
Leaf also affirmed that the United States will continue supporting Yemen in fighting terrorism and addressing economic and social challenges.
The minister highly appreciated the US support to Yemen’s transition, security and development.
