Arab FMs assert commitments to preserve Yemen's unity

Arab foreign ministers affirmed Monday their full commitments to preserve the unity of Yemen and respecting its sovereignty and independence as well as rejecting any interference in its internal affairs. They also asserted to stand beside the Yemeni people in order to achieve their desires, particularly the freedom, democracy and social justice ones, and enable them to achieve comprehensive development.
The ministerial council welcomed, in its decree issued at the conclusion of the 141st regular session's work and under the headline "Development of Situations in Yemen", results and outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC).
The council also stressed the importance of the implementation and formulation of a new constitution meets the aspirations of all Yemeni people under a prosperous and stable unified Yemen governed by a civil and democratic state based on the principle of consensus, national partnership and good governance.
It praised the extraordinary efforts of President Abdo Rabu Mansour Hadi for the success of the NDC, calling on all political parties and forces to give priority to the higher national interest above all else in order to support and ensure the success of the political process and the tasks of the transitional phase.
The ministerial council also called on the GCC member states and the international community as well to provide the necessary support in the political, security, economic and financial sides, to enable Yemen facing its challenges, and to meet its developmental needs to ensure the stability of the situation and complete the arrangements for the referendum on the constitution.
