Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Mohammad Al-Saadi returned to Sanaa on Saturday ,after partaking in the 2nd Arab Forum on "employment and sustainable development," which concluded its work in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Al-Saadi told Saba that the Forum came out with a set of recommendations relating to the employment and diagnosis of the reality of the nation regarding the accumulated problems that led to the revolutions of the Arab Spring, and underlined the importance of Arab cooperation and the unification of perceptions to resolve those important issues.
He noted that he met during the visit with Vice President of the WB for Middle East and North Africa Affairs, Igner Anderson, and discussed with her the distinct relations between the two sides.
Also, a session of talks was held with the Saudi Fund for Development dealt with developmental and services projects funded by the Saudi Fund and being implemented in Yemen currently, including the first phase of the road (Taiz - Aden), in addition to reviewing the final report of the project implementation tender, which the Fund is contributing to its financing, as well as the Fund’s approval to cover the financing gap for the first phase of the project.
Taiz water desalination project, equipping the Faculty of Medicine in Taiz and the completion of equipping about sixty institutes of technical education and vocational training were discussed in the session, as well as reviewing the current arrangements for the meeting of the Friends of Yemen to be held early next April in Riyadh.
