Yemen to participate in Islamic Summit in Cairo

Yemen is to partake in the 12th session of the Islamic Summit to be held in Egypt’s capital, Cairo, with participation of presidents and kings of 26 Arab and Muslim countries and representatives of 30 countries and organizations during February 6-7.
Head of Yemeni delegation, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, to Saba upon departing Sana’a on Sunday that he will deliver a speech on behalf of President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi in the Islamic Summit, which has a special importance in terms of the issues it will deal with.
He pointed out that the meeting would deal with the issue of Israeli settlement in the Palestinian territories, and the promotion and development of economic cooperation between Arab and Islamic countries including contributing to the creation of the Islamic Common Market.
Furthermore, a number of topics are to be discussed during the summit, including the latest developments in Syria , hotbeds of conflicts and disputes in the Islamic world , ways to combat contempt of religions, the situation of Islamic minorities oppressed in some countries as Myanmar, and the issue of terrorism, especially in light of developments in "Mali", as well as other topics related to the humanitarian situation in the Islamic world.
