http://www.english.hadhramaut.info President stresses significance EU role in ending Israeli aggression [The Source: www.sabanews.net - 13/1/2009] President Ali Abdullah Saleh stressed on Monday the significance of the German and European Union (EU)  role in ending the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip. During his meeting with Mr. Walter Kolbow, deputy Chairman SPD Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag for the fields of foreign and development policy, defense and human rights, President Saleh claimed Germany and the EU to exert pressure on Israel to stop its aggression on the Palestinians and execute the resolutions of international legitimacy related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. The meeting also dealt with the latest regional developments, particularly the Israeli massacres and oppressive blockade against Gaza People. Moreover, President Saleh and the German Official Kolbow reviewed aspects of bilateral ties and cooperation areas between Yemen and German, especially in field of fighting piracy off the Somali coasts, Aden Gulf and Arab Sea. The German official conveyed to the President regards of the German President Horst Kohler and the Chancellor Angela Merkel and their wishes of good health and happiness for the President and prosperity for Yemeni people. In return, the President asked the German official to convey his best regards to the German President and the Chancellor.
