http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Yemen gets ANQAHE active membership [The Source: Mukalla/Hadramoutinfo/Saba.net - 10/11/2012] Yemen has granted the active membership in the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ANQAHE) in its meeting held Friday in the Jordanian capital, Amman. Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Hisham Sharaf said that granting Yemen this membership would push up the efforts of Yemen towards boosting the quality and outputs of higher education's institutions. For his part, chairman of the Council of Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Haidar al-Hakimi affirmed the inauguration of the council's activity at the university level and supporting its executive program by the government during the next year 2013, would attract number of organizations and donor countries to support the activities of the council and its programs. The ANQAHE is willing to provide expertise and advice to Yemen in the fields of human capacity development and exchange of experiences between the accreditation council in Yemen and relevant councils and organizations in the Arab world, he added.
