http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Yemen, Turkey sign three cooperation agreements [The Source: Mukalla/Hadramoutinfo/Saba.net - 21/October/2012] Yemen and Turkey have signed here a number of cooperation agreements with the attendance of Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Dawd Oghlo .

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mhammed al-Sa'adi and the Turkish Minister signed agreement between the two countries in the economic, developmental, cultural and health sides.

Whereas Interior Minister Abdul –Qadir Qahtan and the Turkish envoy signed two agreements one of them on revoking the visa of movement for citizens of the two countries and the other on exchanging the wanted people between the security bodies of the two countries.

After signing the agreements, al-Qirbi and Dawd Oghlo held a press conference on Saturday affirming the depth of the Yemeni-Turkish political and developmental cooperation relations.

Al-Qirbi noted that the visit of the Turkish official, especially in the critical conditions of the second transitional phase, is to assert the attitude of Turkey and its standing beside Yemen in order to carry out the Gulf initiative and the political settlement in the country.

He also made reference to the support of Turkey and its pledges in donors' conference which reached US$ 100 million devoted to prop up development programs in Yemen.

For his part, the Turkish Minister confirmed that Yemen is undergoing a historical turning as well as political and economic reforms which are supported strongly by Turkey, saying the success of the Gulf initiative's second phase would contribute in the development of democracies in the region in general.

He made clear that during his visit to Yemen, he would meet with leaders of political parties to discuss with them the file of national reconciliation among the Yemeni parties.

Talking about propping up the economic process, the Turkish Foreign Minister has said the counterpart ministries of the two countries would set up joint plans and agreements of cooperation.

Turkey will allocate the amount pledged in donors' conference to implement joint projects aiming to raise the proportion of employment and reduce unemployment, the minister added.
