SCER: The turnout on polling process exceeds expectations

The Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) said on Tuesday that the ballot in the presidential elections is going naturally in 292 constituencies and the voters turnout exceeded the expectations.
In a press conference held here at the Media Center, the SCER’s Members Judge Saba al-Hajji and Judge Sahel Hamza said that the ballot halted in 9 constituencies in Dali, Lahj and Abyan provinces, so they were transferred to the provincial capitals.
They explained that a number of security incidents were recorded in some constituencies; including a sniping incident from a house next a polling station of the 124th constituency targeted the security personnel charged with guarding the committee.In addition to another incident in the 25th constituency, and four of the perpetrators were arrested and being investigated and the other perpetrators are being tracked, they added. They confirmed that these incidents do not affect the election process. At the press conference, Minister of Information indicated that this day represents a start towards the future, affirming that Yemen always overcomes all difficulties.
