http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Meeting for AIDS program coordinators in the governorates held [The Source: www.sabanews.net - 3/12/2008] An extended annual meeting for coordinators of the National Program for Combating HIV (AIDS) and Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the governorates and concerned bodies for 2008 started on Tuesday. The meeting would discuss activities which were implemented in 2007 in the governorates and obstacles faced work process during implementation of those activities and ways of tackling them. The two days meeting this is organized by the program in the Ministry of Public Health and Population and financed by the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. General Director of combating diseases and epidemic observation in the health ministry Dr.Abdul-Karim al-Kahlani confirmed the importance of this meeting for evaluating performance process of coordinators and discussed future plans of the program to cope with governorates circumstances regarding rising coordinators skills. The meeting coincides with World AIDS Day 2008 titled "Woman Take the Lead, Stop AIDS and Keep Promise."
