Stating to Saba, al-Kurshomi indicated importance of this road which represents vital artery in locomotion of great number of vehicles from and to the capital Sana'a and northern and western governorates.
He made it clear that requalifying the highways would include a number of tunnels in a very high areas and altering some current tracks and dangerous rounds, affirming that public work and roads would witness during 2009 specific transformation in achieving a number of highways in execution to president electoral program.
He indicated that a work would be resumed in a number of hampered roads and works in new roads, wither those funded by the state or from foreign supplies, would be started also.
Worth mentioning that Sana'a-Hudeidah highway is 226 kilo meter long and 142 of it would be qualified for easing motion of trucks and reducing transport wages and time via shortcutting 18 kilo meters of difficult roads.
