http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Abu Ras welcomes contributions to rebuild flood affected regions [The Source: www.sabanews.net - 23/11/2008] Deputy Premier for Interior Affairs Sadek Abu Ras welcomed the brotherly and friendly countries and organizations desire to direct contribution to building affected regions due to floods and rains in Hadhramout and Mahrah governorates of eastern region of Yemen. During his meeting on Saturday with Assistant Director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Regional Director of UNDP in Arab countries Amat Al-Alim Al-Sosowa and UNDP representative in Sana'a, Abu Ras clarified that government efforts currently directed to gather material and technical capacities to rebuild houses for the flooding victims. On her side, al-Sosowa confirmed that UN would contribute to support the second phase devoted to rebuilding affected peoples houses, indicating the necessity to provide required exact documents and information. During the meeting, the two sides dealt with cooperation in other fields, such as implementing the national strategy to support decentralization, local administration and rebuilding Saada governorate.
