http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Workshop begins in Seiyoun to discuss way reduce risk of disasters [The Source: SEIYOUN/hadhramaut.info - 24/07/2011] Workshop began today in Seiyoun to discuss measures and treatments of  reducing  the risk of disasters.It is being held under  the slogan ( let us to work together to preserve our society) The workshop  was  organized by the reconstruction project of living, UNDP and will over two days. It involves some 30 participants coming  from  local councils districts  that  were affected by flood disaster of 2008 in wadi Hadhramout as well as a number of offices of the ministries, institutions, associations and civil society, organizations that are in the Wadi and who participated in  facing  the traces of that disaster. The workshop will  discuss working papers on the role of civil defense in disaster management and the role of local councils in the organization of society in  self-support, during disasters and the role of civil society organizations in disaster management . The workshop also provides a presentation on the concept of disaster types, the concept of strategic planning to address them and the importance of early planning for a disaster ..At the end of the workshop  committees will be forming  for disaster management in the district.
