Arab Labor Conference's 38th round begins in Cairo

The 38th round of Arab Labor Conference began on Sunday in Egypt's capital Cairo, with Yemen's participation.
The conference will discuss a number of topics related to impacts of the global economic crisis on the national and Arab labor and the enhancement of social dialogue for sustainable development.It will also review a report on the small ,smaller and medium enterprises, and another on the general trends of Arab labor movement called for by board of directors of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO).In addition, the conference will elect Director-General of the ALO, which is currently hold by Ahmed Luqman, whom Yemen has made a request for re-nomination of him for a second term.The 38th round of the conference was preceded by the 41st Coordination Meeting of Labor Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council's States with participation of Yemen.The meeting discussed the conference's agenda and the distribution of representatives of the GCC States in various committees as well as the listed topics and issues .In the meeting, Head of Yemen Trade Unions Mohammed al-Jadari was elected as Vice-Chairman of Labor Group at the level of the conference .Yemen's delegation to the conference ,led by Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amat al-Razaq Humad headed for Cairo on Friday.
