http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Turkey supports dialogue to address current crisis in Yemen [The Source: ANKARA/hadhramaut.info/sabanews.net - 07/04/2011] Turkey has welcomed the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s call for the power and opposition in Yemen to dialogue under the GCC's auspices In this regard, Turkey announced its support to the call of dialogue, as the dialogue is the best way to settle the dispute and emerge from the current crisis in Yemen. "Turkey monitors with great concern the developments of events in Yemen, particularly the confrontations that occurred between some supporters of power and the opposition in some areas of Yemen, while expressing deep sorrow for the casualties in these clashes", the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Thursday.Turkey noted the statement issued by the extraordinary meeting of the GCC States held in Riyadh recently, which included calling for a comprehensive national dialogue that includes the parties of political action in Yemen ,with participation of representatives of various spectra of Yemeni people to ensure a solution to the current crisis. In their statement ,the GCC's Foreign Ministers have called on the concerned parties in Yemen to put above the national interest and to quickly return to the table of dialogue to agree on national goals and needed reforms so as to reach a comprehensive agreement that restores the social peace and achieves aspirations of Yemeni people.
