Hadi met here on Wednesday with the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General's
Advisor Gamal bin Omar and the UN's Resident-Representative in Sana'a Pratibha
Mehta.
At the meeting, the two sides
discussed the current situations in light of the developments at the national
arena and talked over the points included in the recent initiatives provided by
political action parties.Hadi reviewed developments of the
democratic path after the reunification of Yemen on May 22 in 1990 and the
nature of the political parties' composition according to the multilateral
system. In this regard, Hadi affirmed that
the political leadership is broad-minded; referring that President Ali Abdullah
Saleh phoned on Tuesday the UN's Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and briefed him
on all those developments He pointed out that the unrealistic
demands, which are away from the logic, may lead to a situation that nobody
wants, stressing the importance of cooperation of the UN in maintaining the
democratic achievement and the safety of Yemen from destructive chaos that may
affecregional and global security.
