http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Hadhramaut Local Authority meets in Mukalla [The Source: MUKALLA/hadharamaut.info - 20/02/2011] Hadhramaout Local Council  Governing body today  morning  held in its second meeting of 2011in Mukalla city.  The session was held under the chairmanship of the President /Provincial Governor Salem Ahmed  Al-Khanbashi , present in the meeting was  Hadhramaut Local  Council Secretary General Khalid Said Al-deini. The meeting was devoted to discuss a number of issues and topics related to the activities and Local Councils  decisions in the Coastal districts Wadi and Sahraa Hadhramaut. Also discussed was level of functions and  Activities of public  public works project in Hadhramaut  province done  last year 2010 . According to the  Director General for Public Works, in Hadramaut and Al-Mahara provinces,  that  projects  completed in Hadhramaout province in the  2010     amounted to about 58 projects. These are in the areas of water, environment, sanitation, education, health, fisheries, social services and improving  the cities, at a cost of more than five million and 400 thousand dollars.  The   Governing body expressed its  satisfaction with the contributions of public works in the development and service so as  to meet the basic services in the districts,  especially remote areas. The governing body commended the efforts made by all the competent authorities, councils of parents and  District social figures in making the work  and functioning of the educational process  and education stable for the year 2010/2011, in Basic and secondary education during the first semester of the current academic year. It noted   that the District of  of Ghail Bawazir is one well known in its  position in Education and it is  distinct role in the history of education in Hadhramout . It called for  the  inspiration of tradition and glorious history of this city,  in achieving  more successes in process of education and raise educational attainment for our students in Ghail Bin BawazerDistrict.
